Stuttgart - The Porsche Museum

Although I've never really been into cars, I've always liked Porsches. This probably has something to do with my next door neighbour growing up. His dad was a panel beater who specialised in fixing Porsches. He actually owned quite a few too. He had at least one 911 as well as a few really old ones that he planned to do up but in the end, did nothing with. Anyway, long story short I like-a-de-porsche.

So when I heard we would be driving past Stuttgart on our way to the Black Forrest (well it was actually about 3 hours out of our way hehe), I knew we had to check out the Porsche Museum.

I knew I'd like it but I was pleasantly surprised to see how much Alice enjoyed it too. The whole museum was put together so well. They had a really awesome audio guide and the audio visual displays were phenomenal. Really informative but really interesting at the same time. They were also pretty funny in places too.

They also had a huge wall of LED lights (about 3 metres high and about 30 metres long) that kept changing. One minute the lights would make words, the next it would look like a road giving the effect that the stationery cars were in fact driving. The photos look cool but you really had to be there to get the full experience. I highly recommend a visit if you're in the area…or near abouts ;)

I really liked this video. It was about the history of Targa.

I really love this 911
Apparently this car could drive on the ceiling once it reaches 188mph
The wall I was talking about before.
Another shot of the wall, featuring the Pink Pig :)
One of the many awesome audio visuals
