Berlin Pt.5 - More Walking Tours

As I said before, Berlin is where Alice and I got hooked on the idea of doing walking tours. The company we chose to use was http://www.neweuropetours.eu/ and they've done such a good job that (at the time of writing) we've been on 7 of their tours in 3 countries. The tour guides are young, interesting, laid back and usually pretty funny. When you're walking around a major city with these guys, you don't feel like a lame tourist which is nice.

The first tour was a FREE walking tour to introduce you to the city. The catch? It's tips based so that anyone on any budget can enjoy it. A really great idea because it makes the tour guide work even harder to make sure you enjoy it because you basically only pay what you think it's worth. As a guide though, we generally paid them the same amount the company charges for their other tours. Definitely worth the money. No more walking around the city holding a Lonely Planet or Rick Steves' guide ;)

The following day we did the Third Reich and Red Berlin tours which were awesome! As you can probably guess, the first tour focused on WW2 while the second focused on the cold war, the building of the Berlin Wall and the bringing down of the Berlin Wall. Below are some random pics from these tours.
