Switzerland Pt.3 - Lucerne

The next day we decided to spend the day sightseeing / shopping in Lucerne. Afterall, I needed a new watch anyway so where better to get one than Switzerland :)

Lion Monument - commemorating the Swiss guards who were massacred in 1792 during the french revolution.

Each bridge has heaps of these paintings telling stories from the bible, some being more gruesome than others. 

Damaged by fire. Part of the second bridge had to be replaced but you can still see where the fire affected the bridge.

Swans.

Just to show you that not all our posed photos worked. It was sunny so we had to keep our eyes closed until I was ready to take the photo. This one was taken just a bit too early...
